Important Changes to Seminar!
Due to the Colorado Department of Education’s instructional minute’s requirement, remote Seminar will no longer be an option for any grade level. All students will need to attend Seminar for the remainder of the school year. This COVID era accommodation is no longer an option we can offer, so we are proactively ensuring we meet all requirements for graduation as determined by the state of Colorado. While we understand the disappointment this will cause for many students, we want to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the benefits this important intervention period provides. Please encourage your student to utilize Seminar time for the academic and social benefits it provides. Thank you for your understanding and support as we make this policy change. Please see the list below detailing effective uses of Seminar time at Conifer High School.
Conifer High School Seminar:
- Access teachers to increase daily academic performance
- Access teachers for small group intervention supports
- Access teacher to obtain work following absences
- Access counseling, Social/Emotional supports
- Make-up tests, quizzes, labs, etc
- Form study groups with peers
- Extra-curricular club meetings
- Complete homework
- All school assemblies
- Grade level meetings
- Advanced Placement course enrichment
- Athletic team meetings
Reminder: Seminar is from 7:30-9:05 on Green Days. Some Green Days are late start Green Days and Seminar starts at 8:20-9:05. Please check the school calendar for late start green days.
