College Application Process
How to send transcripts to colleges
Conifer will be using a new process for transcript requests. Below are steps that are needed to be done before you fill out the transcript request form.
- Apply to the colleges you are interested in.
- List colleges in Naviance.
- If using Common App, match your accounts. (View instructions on matching accounts.)
- If letters of recommendation are needed, list them in Naviance. Make sure to have a conversation with your teachers before you list them in Naviance.
- Fill out a transcript request form located in the counseling office. It is a purple form, next to the peer counseling office.
- Pay the $3 fee for each college.
How to request a letter of recommendation
- Fill out the letter of recommendation form; your teacher will want to have a copy of this.
- Log in to Naviance
- Go to “About Me” tab
- Go to “Surveys”
- Go to “Surveys from School”
- Find the “Letter of Recommendation Form.” Fill this out and print it for your recommender
- Refer to your schools application requirements, see if a letter of recommendation is a requirement.
- Ask the appropriate amount of teachers, as some teachers might decline your request.
- Once the teacher has accepted your request, you will need to log it in to Naviance.
- Click on “Colleges Home” tab.
- Under “Apply to Colleges,” click on “Letters of Recommendation.”
- Add your teachers that are writing you a letter and hit submit.

Students who submit their college applications during this time can apply for free to all public institutions in Colorado and many private schools in Colorado as well.

Career & College Pathways in Jeffco
Career and college pathways are a series of educational opportunities that enable students to pursue careers, college and interests after high school. Career and college readiness is a Jeffco Public Schools graduation requirement and is increasingly important, as three out of every four jobs now require education or training beyond high school.
It’s important for students to talk with their families, teachers and school counselors throughout high school as career interests emerge and develop, and to explore different college and career pathways.
