Band and Orchestra

Conifer is proud to have a chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society here at our high school. We are Chapter 5710!

The purpose of this organization is to inspire music participation, create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to render service and promote leadership in the music students of secondary schools. Our students focus on service and promoting music in our community.

Jazz band

Lab Jazz is an extracurricular group that rehearses during Lobo Lab. The band performs in concerts and local gigs throughout the school year, playing a variety of musical genres. Students learn to play many styles of jazz, rock, pop and world music with a focus on both notated music and improvisation.

Lab Jazz hosts a Night at the Café every year and students are eligible for Jeffco Honor and All State Jazz Band.

Pep band

The CHS pep band is an extracurricular ensemble that performs at four boys’ and four girls’ basketball games during the season, as well as home playoff games. The pep band is open to any CHS instrumental music student. There are two mandatory rehearsals prior to the season. Students must attend all eight games to receive lettering credit.

Pit orchestra

The pit orchestra is an extracurricular ensemble that provides the musical accompaniment to the CHS spring musical. The pit orchestra is open to any current instrumental music student. Instrumentation varies on the show selection and auditions are generally held in December or January.
