DECA ICDC Results
We are especially proud of the 7 Conifer High School DECA students who just returned
from a 6-day trip to Orlando, Florida to represent our Conifer community as they
competed in their qualifying events with 21,000 other DECA students from around the
globe in the International Career Development Conference (ICDC). At ICDC, each event
consisted of 200ish competitors who all had to qualify in the top 5% of competitors in
order to compete at the international level. Making it into finals puts students in the
top 1% of global DECA competitors. Conifer DECA’s competitors were:
● Finalists (TOP 20 in the World) - Rylie Sanvido in Principles of Finance
● ICDC competitor - Sydney Ransel in Restaurant and Food Service Management
● ICDC competitors - Kellyn Dougherty and JT Dalton in Travel & Tourism Team
Decision Making
● Alyssa Bollwark, Sierra Nordwald & Janae Wachendorf - Leadership Academy
for their State Champion Chapter of Excellence plan & Marketing Educator
Event
We’re so proud of these kids for their great attitudes, hard work and resilience
throughout the intense trip. Thank you Conifer DECA members for representing our
community so well as competitors and as considerate, mature and professional young
adults. Thank you to our Conifer community for your support and encouragement of
our students.

Conifer High School (H.O.S.A.) Health Occupations Students of America took 39 students to the Colorado State HOSA
Leadership Conference at the downtown Sheraton from Monday, February 21 -
Thursday, February 23. 26 of our competitors earned top 10 rankings in our
State, and several students were awarded medals for placing in the top 3 of
all-state competitors and will be provided with the opportunity to represent
our state at the International Competition in June.
A big thank you to our students, who worked hard to prepare for their
competitive events and for representing Conifer High School with integrity and
professionalism. We couldn't ask for a better group of students to spend our
time with! Also, special thanks to Owen Volzke for accompanying us and for
his unending trips down 16th street mall to get students Boba. Also, special
thanks to Karen McIntosh and the library staff for helping make sure our
students were able to successfully complete their qualifying rounds of testing.
We couldn't do this without their support. Here is a list of our official results.
If you happen to see these students, please give them a big shout-out for all of
their hard work!
